We’re cooking up a new service

Julie joined the Trust in April this year and in the run up to first residents moving in to the site, has been responsible for recruiting and supporting the catering and housekeeping teams across the site.  She has also been busy equipping and preparing the main restaurant kitchens for opening where her new team expect to serve up more than 100 meals every day.

Having spent 22 years as Domestic Service Manager to the 650 or so boys at QEH schools in Bristol, Julie’s move to the St Monica Trust has been something of a generation leap, but she is really enjoying her new role. “There are obviously some key differences but I really enjoy working with older people, and the opportunity to get to know residents in has been really special and a real privilege.”

Independence, dignity and fulfilment
